The Heart of Dance, a Ceremonial Dance Retreat

The Heart of DANCE is a retreat that seeks to offer you the opportunity to:   

• Experience a deep reconciliation with your own body. 
• Reconnect with the pleasure of fully inhabiting your body without guilt or shame.  
• Enjoy the freedom of a more expansive range of motion on the dancefloor and in your personal life. 
• Take responsibility for your own personal power and embody it without fear. 
• Reconnect with your primal and wild SELF.  

In this retreat we offer different embodiment tools such as yoga, somatic breathing and movement, ecstatic dance, polarity workshops, journaling and reflective work, vulnerability circles and meditation. Our flow is designed to gradually deepen the connection to the body and support the authentic and empowered self expression of each individual.  

We will share Ecstatic Dance as well as other types of therapeutic movements or dance including guided non-sexual sensuality workshop & blindfold movement.  We also honour and hold a ceremonial space throughout the entire retreat. This has shown us, supports a deeper and more impactful experience in the work we offer. There willl be a cacao ceremony as well as an overall approach to  all of our workshops and in-between moments to recognize the ceremony of life unfolding. 

Who is the retreat for? 

For dance lovers and passionate practitioners of free body movement of all ages, genders and ethnicities. We want to gather people that already have a baseline connection to their body and sometype of practice and a passion for dance.

What makes this retreat special?

The emphasis on the reconciliation of the polarities within ourselves. Using the power of duality and opposites to find balance, connection and harmony WITHIN ourselves. We put a strong focus on the embodiment medicine and the journey being within each individual's vessel and hence the Home coming aspect or healing is truly the returning to one's natural and pure essence. We then provide tools and practices to carry out this authentic and genuine expression to connect with others and share with the world.
