About the event
A Sanctuary for the Apocalypse — Book Celebration & Interactive Concert
An immersive evening of selected readings, stories sprinkled with music, guiding us on a journey from intimacy to joy. This gathering offers a refuge of spontaneous community for turbulent times: a place to cry, laugh, sing, and come together in a closing reflection and Q&A.
Songs are shared in multiple languages, English, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, and Urdu, while excerpts from the book weave through the music, forming a PrayerFormance: a medicinal ceremony of sound, story, and presence. Expect embodied explorations of sacred activism, Indigenous wisdom, sexuality, and nomadic adventures across the four corners of our beautiful Earth. Stories of peace gatherings, spirit-led action, and creative resistance blend into a journey that moves from tenderness to ecstatic bliss.
