About the event
In this workshop, we invite you to deepen your relationship with the Earth through artistic expression. You’ll move through a series of earth-honoring crafts, connecting with each element as our ancestors once did, allowing their textures, energies, and teachings to shape your experience. We’ve structured our time together around the elements, letting each one guide the materials we use and the art we create.
We will:
Sculpt with clay to tune into the grounding presence of the Earth
Create handmade paper using river water and local plants
Make cyanotype prints infused with the light of the Sun
Naturally dye “fairy wings” that invite you to dance with the Wind
And more…
This is an opportunity to awaken your creativity, honor the Earth, and connect deeply with yourself and the circle of participants. As facilitators, we trust that eco-art is a bridge — one that reunites soil and soul, imagination and ecology, and the inner and outer worlds.
Participants will gently move through the creative blocks so many of us develop over time — frozen creativity, self-doubt, and perfectionism that keep us from fully expressing ourselves. By working with natural materials, some gathered from the Awake land itself, participants will experience a renewed sense of connection to place, to the elements, and to their own creative essence.
Throughout the weekend, participants will learn a variety of earth-based art practices, each designed to awaken imagination while fostering a deeper relationship with the more-than-human world.
We serve gluten, free, vegan, organic lunch at our Café Cora each day.
