Contact Improv Dance Jam with Forrest
What is a contact jam?
A collective improvisation open to all levels - An open space for exploring movement alone, with a partner, or in a group
General Structure:
We begin with a short guided warm up
We end with a closing circle
Everyone is welcome to dance, rest, observe and/or participate as they wish. There is no obligation to dance the entire time.
We do not talk, noises and sounds are welcome
We sometimes dance with music and sometimes elect for silence
What to bring:
Water bottle
Comfortable dancing clothes (ideally long pants and long sleeve)
An open, curious mind :)
Price:
1-5 mil sliding scale
About Forrest:
He’s devoted the last decade of his life to the development of a well-rounded movement practice. He’s taught dance classes and workshops for the last 2 years and works with 1-on-1 with clients.
Outside of practicing and teaching, he lives and works on a farm and is also currently writing his first novel.
