Silent Meditation - Self-Realization
Realize Retreat is an opportunity to focus on what is REAL. Rediscovering our True Self beyond the realm of appearances brings us the deepest sense of peace, bliss and freedom.
What is Realize Retreat?
Realize Retreat is the ideal way to end 2022, clear out the weight of the past and prepare to enter the new year more deeply settled within yourSelf. This retreat aims to support your transition into a state of greater integration and a more refined and expanded awareness. As you grow more aware of the layers that create suffering and separation from your true Nature as Consciousness, you stop feeding them and break free.
Have you felt the calling to use more of your attention and energy for Self-Realization and spiritual liberation? Are you ready to upgrade your ability to witness inner resistances, unconscious tensions and false identities in your body, your mind and your soul? Realize Retreat empowers you to build a more stable inner presence, and to allow the light of pure Consciousness to reach deeper within, dissolving the roots of what doesn't serve.
This retreat will include:
silent & still meditation (chair sitting can be arranged)
movement meditations support by sound
guidance on consciousness and the inner workings of the mind
guidance and practice with meditation approaches from the masters (Vipassana, Atma Vichara and Vijnana Bhairav Tantra)
Satsang evenings for Self-Realization transmissions and to bring new perspectives on the challenges and questions arising for participants
a breathwork session
plenty of personal time to inquire, reflect and be
Realize Retreat is a space of silent cultivation in which participants are asked to avoid oral communication as much as possible and to disconnect from their devices and online social lives. You will be invited to journal as part of your process of creating clarity and revealing to yourself what is being witnessed within. Participants will also be invited to share with Govinda (anonymously or not) written comments or questions arising in their journey so that they might be addressed during evening satsang.
The retreat starts on Saturday the 24th December at 3pm and will end on the 31th December at 11am. If you feel called to stay with us, you will be invited to join us for lunch and our New Years eve dinner, ceremony and party (with a one night extension to stay in your room). The community will gather again on the 1st January for Ecstatic Dance to celebrate the entering into 2023.
Who is Govinda?
Govinda is the co-founder and director of Awake. He went through a profound experience of Self realization 20 years ago and has spent the last 20 years on a journey of deepening the alignment of his bodies with his true Self.
In that journey, Govinda has explored the play of life as a spiritual growth opportunity through many roles, many places throughout the world and many failures and successes, all in service of releasing layers of blocks and resistances to the free and unidentified flow of the life force.
He is passionate about sharing that journey with other souls on the same path and in helping Consciousness remember its absolute, pristine and sovereign nature.
Typical week day schedule will look like:

A morning class will be focused on the Yoga Sutras from Patanjali. The Yoga Sutras were written by Patanjali 2000 years ago and have been considered throughout the ages in India to be a timeless reference for a deeper understanding of the mind and the awakening process. Recognising the patterns of the mind within ourselves is an essential tool of discrimination that greatly helps to pierce through the layers.
